Graham Pugh +++++++++ THOUGHTS FROM ABROAD I was born at the Mater Dei in Bradfield in 1970, and lived at 52 Catherine Berry Drive (the house was called Rory-Taylor - I wonder where that wrought iron sign got to...) until 1981, when we moved to SA. My mom commissioned the house built, and I wonder what it looks like today. It was stunning when we left it, and it is not the romance of time fogging my memory - we have loads of photos still! My aunt and uncle lived at 66 Windamere Road, Hillside - another house built from scratch - lucky to have a master builder in the family. I went to Tennyson School until we left Zimbabwe. I know on should move on, but I have such great memories as a child, and often think of my upbringing in R. Rory-Taylor ++++++++++ CONDOLENCES You are probably aware that my Dad Wally passed away on Sunday morning. He was a wonderful father, gentleman, well known and respected in Bulawayo. We were just fortunate to have had his 90th birthday in October 2003 and a Christmas together. Sadly my daughters Tash and Sam have booked to visit home but will only arrive in March, so sadly he never had the chance of seeing his granddaughters again and his great granddaughter who is almost one year old. We have had some wonderful tributes from friends both within and outside Zimbabwe and it's a pleasure knowing he had such wonderful friends. Derrick Townshend
