Edith Duly Nursing Home Turns 58 On 10th April 2017!          - 7/3/2017      <--Prev : Next-->

58 years of experienced, dedicated care to the residents of Bulawayo and centres as far away as Victoria Falls, Gweru and even Botswana. Hundreds have received loving, compassionate care from our experienced, qualified staff - some for short periods receiving respite care whilst others have been with us for many years and even celebrated centennial birthdays and have received greeting cards from Queen Elizabeth II!

Over the years, EDITH DULY has seen many changes as we adapted to varying needs. Originally, a 14 bed Home for 'ladies of a certain ilk', the period 2007/2008 saw over 65 residents both male and female. Out of control inflation made the Home an attractive option to 'at home' care. Naturally with dollarization numbers declined and the country's ongoing economic woes, can for many, make private care seem unaffordable. However, intrepid as we are, we soldier on and continually seek measures to ensure our services are attractive and affordable. Care options range from general to intensive high care (in wards or private rooms) and as members of AHFOZ, (Association of Hospital Funders of Zimbabwe), persons on medical aid do enjoy a level of fee refund.

In recent years, in addition to our qualified and experienced SRNs and Nurse Aides, we introduced the services of an in house Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist whose results with stroke patients have been nothing short of remarkable. Winnie ensures that all residents integrate and partake in daily activities, both physical and occupational. Laundry and meals are done in-house and as we grow much of our own produce, quality and freshness is guaranteed!

Today Edith Duly Residential and Care Home stands proud in offering the very best all round facility. Our experience, in-depth knowledge and outstanding infrastructure ensures that whereas a house is built by hands, Our Home is Built by Heart!
